The student who successfully completes the Graduate Diploma in TESOL with a sufficient grade point average may undertake a 40,000 word research thesis (8 supervised units = 48 points) in the area of language teaching and receive a Master of Arts (TESOL). The student with no prior research experience must complete the subject Research Methodologies prior to thesis work. This subject is available externally. Thesis topics are chosen in consultation with the thesis supervisor.
