A Skills for All subsidised course

This qualification equips people delivering training and assessment in the vocational education and training (VET) sector, in their particular field of expertise. It is also a useful qualification for Senior Secondary Teachers, Youth Workers, Pastors and anyone involved with Adult Education.

Achievement of this qualification or an equivalent by trainers and assessors is a requirement of the Australian Quality Training Framework Essential Standards for Registration.

This qualification is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program.


Job roles

Job roles associated with this qualification relate to the delivery of training and assessment of competence within the VET sector. Possible job titles and roles relevant to this qualification include:

  • enterprise trainer
  • enterprise assessor
  • registered training organisation (RTO) trainer
  • RTO assessor
  • training adviser or training needs analyst
  • vocational education teacher.


At Tabor we deliver this certificate in an integrated fashion and provide student with an online learning environment as well as face to face classes. Paper based external studies are also available if that is your preferred way of learning.

Our program is suitable for trainers from a wide variety of industry backgrounds as well as those working in Christian studies or similar. Our facilitators have wide experience within numerous industry settings and have a good understanding of both the world of industry and  Christian education.

The program generally takes a year to complete on a part time basis, but you may progress faster based on a number of factors.

Experienced teachers and trainers may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning for some units.


Pathways - there are no entry requirments but you need to have the opportunity to practice your training skills. You may progress onto a Diploma of TAA.
